Footnotes

  • Tony D'Amico has been involved for many years with art collectives such as Cirque Archaos and the Mutoid Waste Company, his solo work sharing their intentions to create sculpture from the detritus of modern life employing low level industrial techniques. His sculpture often features salvaged material and scrap metal, its anarchic aesthetic recalling the apocalyptic visions of Mad Max or Blade Runner, and has been exhibited at outdoor events such as England's 2010 Glastonbury Festival. D'Amico was also involved in 2009's Mutate Britain exhibition in London, which featured the work of the Mutoid Waste Company and was billed as a "interactive multimedia pile-up".
