by John Crouch I and Thomas Hannam, London 1777 and 1779
Of shaped circular form, the beaded rim interspersed with shells all on three ball and claw feet, each engraved with motto, crest and coat of arms, diameter of two 28.5cm, the largest 41.5cm, weight 110.5oz. (3)

  • The cartouche with shakefork and crest of sprouting oak branch is the armorial insignia registered at the Lyon Court on 24 May 1774 for the Revd John Cuninghame of Bridgehouse who shortened to one word his original motto 'Sucto Sed Emergo'.
