probably by Johannes Johanesen Reimers the elder of Bergen, circa 1690
Of tapering cylindrical form on three ball and claw feet, embossed scrolling decoration above each, the lid with embossed decoration, the centre with a monogrammed plaque circa 1710 (possibly replacing a coin), the crowned lion thumbpiece resting on a ball, the handle with engraving and shield terminal, the interior with four pegs, the base engraved with inscription and weight, height to top of thumbpiece 22cm.
