  • Carl E. Akeley, American taxidermist, went on safari with his wife Delia collecting specimens for the Field Columbian Museum in Chicago, Cuninghame led this expedition in 1906. This image shows the expedition's collection of tusks from 6 elephants, the single tusk was Carl's first elephant, the two largest were Delia's first.
