Sugata (configuration): katakiriba-zukuri, ior-mune, torii-zori with chikei
Kitae (forging pattern): running itame mixed with ko-mokume in ji-nie with
Hamon (tempering pattern): sugu-ba and gunome with clusters of nie in the valleys and with yo, sunagashi and yaki-dashi
Boshi (tip): ko-maru with a long return
horimono (carving): omote with a serpentine dragon, bonji and goma-bashi, the ura with Hachiman Dai Bosatsu invocation
Nakago (tang): ubu, kurijiri with one hole and sujikai file marks
Habaki (collar): one-piece, gilt-copper
Nagasa (length from tip to beginning of tang): 15 1/4in (38.7cm)
Motohaba (width at start of tempered edge): 1 3/8in (3.4cm)
In shirasaya (wood storage scabbard)
