The 19th-century koshirae comprising a black-lacquer saya decorated with sparse nashiji at the tip and fitted with a shakudo kozuka decorated with a horse, the blade carved with a hatahoko horimono; the tsuka mounted with a shakudo migaki-ji fuchi decorated with chrysanthemums in gold and shakudo taka-zogan and a horn kashira; gold, copper and shakudo menuki of dragons; shakudo migaki-ji oval plate tsuba
