The small, elegant blade of hon-zukuri, iori-mune, koshi-zori, ko-kissaki configuration and forged in very tight ko-itame and tempered with a narrow sugu-ba hamon, with a ko-maru boshi, the tang ubu, kuri-jiri with one hole and signed and dated Minamoto Yoshichika and dated Showa san-nen chu-shu (mid-autumn 1928); one-piece silver habaki; 25 3/4in (65.5cm) long; in a shirasaya
The tachi-goshirae comprising a black-lacquer saya decorated with paulownia crests in gold hiramakie and mounted with silver hardware, the hangers bearing purple and blue doe-skin straps; the tsuka applied with white ray-skin and fitted with "tweezer" -type silver menuki carved with paulownia crests; silver fuchi-gashira; silver san-mai awase silver tsuba
With a 180-page book entitled "The Enthronement of the One Hundred and Twenty-Fourth Emperor of Japan," and a silver coronation medal with gilt kiku.
