Sugata (configuration): hon-zukuri, iori-mune shallow torii-zori, o-gissaki
Kitae (forging pattern): itame mixed wiht mokume
Hamon (tempering pattern): choji-midare in nie with tobi-yaki
Boshi (tip): ko-maru resembling Jizo
Horimono (carving): omote with so-no-kurikara; ura with goma-bashi
Nakago (tang): o-sujikai with three holes and kiri file marks, signed Ikanshi Awataguchi Tadatsuna and dated Genroku go-nen hachi-gatsu bi (A day in the eighth month of 1695)
Habaki (collar): one-piece, gold -foil
Nagasa (length from tip to beginning of tang): 29in (73.9cm)
Motohaba (width at start of tempered edge): 1 1/4in (3.2cm)
