Kitae (forging pattern): flowing itame mixed with masame
Hamon (tempering pattern): ko-choji-midare in nie with sunagashi and ashi
Boshi (tip): sugu-ba, ko-maru
Nakago (tang): ubu with two holes and indistinct file marks, signed Bishu Osafune []kage (Morikage) and dated Oan go-nen hachi-gatsu bi (A day in the eighth month of 1372)
Habaki (collar): two-piece, silver-foil
Nagasa (length from tip to beginning of tang): 31 1/8in (79cm)
Motohaba (width at start of tempered edge): 1 1/4in (3.2cm)
Sakihaba (width before tip): 7/8in (2.2cm)
