Helmet by Yoshisada, Muromachi period (16th century), armor 18th century
Comprising a sixty-two plate ko-boshi kabuto, the area around the tehen left with no rivets, forming a square pattern, and mounted with a four-stage shakudo tehen kanamono, and with a five-lame shikoro terminating in small fukigaeshi applied with stenciled doe skin and crests of crosses within circles, the mabizashi also applied with stenciled doe skin and trimmed with copper fukurin carved with scrolling vines, the maedate a lacquered wood long horned demon; russet-iron menpo forged with a separate nose plate and decorated with silver-lacquer mustache and chin tuft, fitted with a five-lame yodarekake; the cuirass a ni-mai okegawa do of hon-kozane fitted with seven sections of five-lame kusazuri, the top edges of the do applied with doe skin; gyoyo applied with family crests to match the helmet; chu-sode applied with kanamono of war fans on the kanmuri-ita; oda gote; kawara haidate; shino suneate; kogake; one armor box; no stand
