The Belgian shako of black felt with leather bindings bears a multi- part badge to the 13th Artillery Regiment, complete with leather sweatband/lining and part only leather chin strap. Manufactured by Alexandre Ackermann Fribourg. The Tropical helmet with original leather chin strap is named to 'T. Scott 115L273'. The flying helmet lacks part of the chin strap and the bakelite earphones are marked, 'D.L.R. No51 T .BA5.S.'. The two box kites are contained in their yellow painted cylindical tins. The single draw telescope is named to ' G.G.P. Hewett R.N.', made by 'Ross London No 26155' and 'Made for Matthews & Co. Portsea'. (lacks the shagreen or leather covering). A framed memorial WW1 photograph of a 2nd Lieutenant 5th Royal Irish Lancers, an Arab's white cotton and black cord headdress, a coloured linen Naval signal flag. A uniface printed linen handkerchief featuring Lord Roberts a map of South Africa and a poem by Rudyard Kipling. Six pairs of binoculars three of which are cased. A two draw brass telescope complete with leather covering and a leather carrying case, this with provision for fastening to a belt. A cased pocket
