A Meissen rooster teapot, circa 1735
After a Chinese, Yixing, stoneware example, looking over its shoulder, the spout protruding from its neck, its tail forming the handle of the pot, the plumage boldly painted in blue, red and green, the cover with a hare finial and scattered Kakiemon flowers, 10cm high, crossed swords mark in blue (minor restoration), together with a silver teapot and cover, after a similar model but with outstretched neck, the cover attached with a chain, struck with indistinct marks, 18cm long (3)
