A black and gold lacquer four-case inro

Of upright form, the upper part of roiro and the lower section of yasurime, lacquered with a continuous scene of three egrets in a reedy lake, the reverse with two egrets flying away, in gold and silver takamakie and togidashi, the interior of nashiji with kinji edges, signed Shiomi Masanari, gyonen shichijuichi-o kore o egaku (painted by Shiomi Masanari, an old man of 71) with seal Masanari; with a shibuichi ojime inlaid with an egret among aquatic plants. 8.9cm (3½in).
