An unusual saya three-case inro
By Koma Kyui, 19th century
Of flattened deep cup shape, the saya of roiro with sparse nashiji, lacquered on either side with a kiku-mon, in gold togidashi, containing a roiro three-case inro lacquered with scattered kiku blooms in gold, silver and red togidashi, the interior of kinji, signed Koma Kyui saku; with ivory ojime in the form of a seated boy. 6cm (2 3/8in).
