A large copper footwarmer
Late Ming / early Qing, signed Zhang Mingqi
Sturdily cast of compressed globular form rising to a short straight neck, a pair of mounted ruyi head handles flanked on the sides, all surmounted by a reticulated cover simulating basket weave forming hexagonal and triangular-shaped reticulation, the sides also with a band of 'wan' diaper ground, the base cast with a four-character seal mark.
