    The legend tells of a group of a hundred and eight heroes gathering at Mount Liang to form a sizable army before granted amnesty by the Emperor and sent on campaigns to resist foreign invaders and suppress rebel forces. The inscription translates 'made by Liu Shouben, the finest of the Jing class, autumn of 'bingzi' year (1996)', followed by a seal of the artist.
