A blue and white porcelain 'boys' snuff bottle
Qing dynasty The cylindrical body rising to a thin waisted neck, the exterior painted with a continuous scene joyous boys playing amongst a jardinière and rockworks, the base with Kangxi six-character apocryphal mark in underglaze-blue. 6.9cm high.

The depiction of a boy falling into a jardinière suggest reference to the story of Sima Guang breaking the vessel to rescue a friend from drowning.
