An Yixing stoneware incense burner and cover
Late Qing dynasty / early Republican period
The archaistic bronze vessel with quatrelobed sides rising from three elephant head feet, one side with zhuanshu inscriptions and the other with an incised figure of a monk, flanked at the sides with two animal ring heads and tall handles at the shoulders, the cover reticulated with eight trigrams motifs, surmounted by alingzhi knop, the base with a square four-character zhuanshu seal mark.
23.5cm high.

    清末民初 紫砂香爐

    「裕民陶器」篆文方印

    香爐呈瓜形,蓋鏤刻八卦洞,並飾有靈芝鈕,高耳過蓋,瓜形兩旁捏塑獸首啣環耳,三象首足,爐身一面刻有「大吉昌宜侯王」篆文銘文,文字風格工整,另一面則刻有一高僧坐在草叢間,旁有香爐及書本,畫旁刻題行草「裕民陶工社製」。爐底鈐「裕民陶器」篆文方印。棕色砂泥,泥質細緻,潤澤拋光。
