Qing dynasty, signed Jiang Wanquan Of rectangular form and intricately slip decorated to the exterior with a series of geometric patterns, the interior with a raised platform bordered by a continuous gully, follow by another three deep square wells at the side, the base with a square seal mark, fitted box. 14.6cm long. (2).
Jiang Delin, style name Wanquan, was an Yixing stoneware master from the Jiaqing to Tongzhi periods. His birth and death dates were unknown. Excavated and extant works indicated that Jiang had collaborated with Chen Mansheng to create teapots, such as the Yixing stoneware 'zhujie' vase unearthed from the tomb of Qing dyansty Wang Dianshan in Shanghai's Jinshan County in 1977. On the reverse of the cover, there is a square mark 'Wanquan' in zhuanwen; on the vase body, an inscription 'Dan Wusheng Zuo Dou Yong Xiang, Mansheng' can be found. According to tomb records, the burial occurred in 1803, the eighth year of the Jiaqing emperor's reign. Others regard Jiang Wanquan as another Yixing master of the late Qing dynasty. This perspective is subject to further examination.
