An Yixing stoneware teapot and cover
Late Qing dynasty / early Republican period, signed Wang Baogen
Finely potted with a short cylindrical body rising to a smaller lipped rim, one side with kaishu inscription, the other side with zhuanshu inscriptions, flanked each side with a ribbed spout and 'C'-shaped handle in imitation of bamboo, all surmounted by a dome-shaped cover with bamboo handle issuing pointed leaves, the base with an ovoid seal mark, fitted box.
