An Yixing stoneware lobed 'melon' teapot and cover
Qing Dynasty, Qianlong seal mark
The intricately moulded vessel of gently compressed round form, the segmented body rising from a tapered base, set with a swan-neck spout and loop handle, the fluted cover surmounted with a stem knop, the clay of a buff tone and the surface of a light patina, the base impressed with a round seal mark. 14.9cm long.

    「乾隆年製」篆文圓印

    壺作瓜棱形,扁圓壺身,菱口,三彎流,正耳把,淺臥足,壺流、柄均作瓜棱狀,壺蓋以一瓜柄作鈕,筋紋從瓜柄一直延續至足部,足內鐫「乾隆年製」篆文圓印。小壺紫泥發色深沉古樸,壺身表面顯出輕微包漿光澤,整壺淳樸渾厚,闢有時代韻味。
