Two enamelled Yixing stoneware teapots and covers
Qing dynasty
Finely potted of gaiwan form, set with a swan-neck spout and handle, the exterior enamelled with a prunus tree and plum blossoms, cabbages and lotus flowers, the shoulder incised with inscriptions, the base and underside of the handle with seal marks, together with another teapot of globular form, decorated in famille-rose with flowers, the base incised with inscriptions.
The largest: 16.5cm long. (4).

  • Cai Shaofeng was a native of Yixing who produced teapots during the Daoguang / Xianfeng periods (1821-1861). See another teapot with enamelled decoration made by Cao Shaofeng from K.S.Lo's collection, illustrated by Gerard C.C. Tsang, Yixing Pottery, Hong Kong, 1981, p.129, pl.69.

    清 段泥蓋碗式粉彩壺、紫泥粉彩壺

    「一瓢以飲。曼生」、「□年」、「少峯」
    「味占先春,香添詩興」

    一壺成蓋碗形,圈足,三彎流,叉枝柄,壺流、壺柄施藍釉,深淺相間,壺身以粉彩繪荷葉荷花及白菜,壺肩繪蝴蝶梅花,並刻「一瓢以飲。曼生」,壺柄下隱約可見「□年」方印,一字依稀可見,壺底鈐「少峰」篆文方印;另一壺成扁圓形,臥足,壺蓋、壺身以粉彩飾花草,壺底刻詩文「味占先春,香添詩興」。

    蔡少峰,清道光、咸豐年間(1821-1861)宜興紫砂藝人。生卒不詳。工治砂壺,善用釉彩。香港茶具文物館羅桂祥藏一件十九世紀上半葉蔡少峯製加彩延年益壽壺,底部亦鈐「少峯」篆文方印。見Gerard C.C.Tsang編,《宜興陶藝》,香港,1981,頁129,圖版69。
