New York No. 543, Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials, gold hour and minute hands, fusee movement within inner dust case with spotted plates, Earnshaw escapement, spring foot detent, cut bimetallic balance, poising and rating weights, and a blued steel helical balance spring, and a gimballed brass bowl. Within a three-tier brass bound mahogany box with drop handles blank name plate, inset lock escutcheon, and inset clock number plaque [blank].
