    Jacobsen painted no less than 6 different versions of this historic grounding of the County of Edinburgh. This painting is certainly one of the four listed in the addenda. The two listed in the original Checklist are known and accounted for. This painting is based on a photograph, the copy of which is in the collection of the Mariner's Museum, Newport News, Virginia.
