Princess at her morning bath
Opaque watercolor on paper, Kangra, circa 1800
The maiden twists her hair after her bath wearing in a pink sari seated on a low platform. Her attendants stand to the sides and frame the lakeside platform with large lotus blossoms in the background. The distant hills show hunting and village scenes with red streaked clouds above.
