A celadon glazed stoneware bowl
Thailand, Si Satchanalai, 14th-16th century
The interior well carved and incised with a stylized floral medallion within a classic scroll band and encircled on the steep sides by further blossoms linked by leafy tendrils and a meandering leaf band at the rim, the exterior with a wide band of conjoined petals below four horizontal thread bands, the design element heightened by the pooling translucent blue-green glaze, the base and ring foot unglazed.
