A brown glazed earthenware elephant vessel
Cambodia, 12th-13th century
The large bulbous body raised on stump feet with a projecting elephant head with trunk handle, ridden by mahoot with raised rope designs falling from the galleried-platform around the wide mouth and flat rim held by the attendant at the back.

9 ½ in. high, 10 in. diameter (24.2, 25.3 cm)
