3 oblong volumes, sizes vary, about 60 x 180 mm. Each comprising 11 engraved pages with two dictionary definitions each (one for each letter of the Latin alphabet). Original blue wrappers, printed cover labels. Few minor blotches to covers, a little penciling within.

They show 6 different fancy scripts in interesting definitions, presumably chosen to keep the students' interest, e.g. "Tachygraphy. The art of quick writing / Debonair. Good natured, affable / Automations. Having itself the power of motion."
