Period vellum, covers elaborately gilt with double-borders and central arms of the City of Amsterdam, spines with raised bands enclosing 7 compartments each gilt with the city arms, ties. Binding slightly rubbed, one cover scuffed.
AN AMSTERDAM PRIZE BINDING, with letterpress leaf with engraved vignette in first volume accomplished in manuscript and signed by the Rector of the Public School at Amsterdam, awarding the book to Jacob Johannes Ott.
