[JEROME, SAINT.] Latin manuscript on vellum, from the the Interpretationes Nominum Hebraicorum. [England, early 13th century.] 2 conjoined leaves, 2 columns of 31 lines, brown ink, 203 x 154 mm, rubricated. Soiled, dampstain, few wormoles, 16th century annotations.

The "Interpretations of Biblical names" was a not unusual appendix to a Bible in the 13th century. The names included here run in two sequences, from O to V and from A to M. Familiar names present with their glosses include Benjamin, Ismael, Isaac, Judith, Jacob, Joseph, etc.
