1969 Triumph T120R
Frame no. T120R DU85947
Engine no. T120R DU85947
Prized possession among Lawrence Lattin's two-wheelers was this 1969 Bonneville, which he restored himself 15-20 years ago. By 1969 the T120 had achieved what most experts agree is its best-looking form. By now the 650cc engine was of unit construction, the front brake was an effective twin-leading-shoe design, and the paint and proportions were just right.
While faithfully restored, small details indicate that Lattin built this Bonnie for serious riding. Tires are upgraded Metzelers, and out back we also see a pair of high-quality Koni shock absorbers. Bar-end mirrors keep the bike's profile low while giving a superior view to the rear, and a louder aftermarket horn is in place below the gas tank.
Friends of Larry Lattin tell us this Triumph would be the last motorcycle he would ever sell were he still alive. Surely he would be happy knowing that it is being moved on to a new owner who will appreciate it and give it a good ride every now and then.
