1970 Muskin El Gato 80 cc Fuji
Definitely qualifying for special footnote status in the history of minibikes is the Muskin El Gato 80, a rare find indeed. With its one-piece fiberglass gas tank/seat structure finished in Chrome Yellow, the El Gato was hard to miss. Bigger than most minis at 125 pounds, company literature referred to the bike as a "midi-cycle." It was amply powered by a four-speed, 6.6-hp motor supplied by Fuji, the same company that provided Hodaka with powerplants. A leading-link front end also set the Muskin apart from run-of-the-mill lawnmower-powered minibikes.
This 1970 example has seen 0 miles since full restoration earlier this year.
