1965 Cimatti S4/B
Speed-crazed Italians love their cars and motorcycles. Over the years more than 50 companies have produced two-wheelers in Italy, all fueled by passion and a flair for aesthetics. Cimatti, founded in 1951, was one such outfit. Using engines provided by both Morini and Minarelli, the company produced a well-respected line of small-bore machines. While road bikes were Cimatti's main focus, between 1966-68, it won the three Italian 50cc trials championship in succession. The company survived a downturn in small-bike sales by turning to mopeds but a recession in the early 1980s forced the company to close its doors in 1984.

The Cimatti S4/B on sale here captures the elegance of Italian design from a time when the company was still going strong. From its tiny four-shoe drum brake to its diminutive 50cc two-stroke motor, the Cimatti encompasses the spirit of road racing in the 1960s. This example has been expertly restored both mechanically and cosmetically, and is ready to be ridden or to be put on display and admired for its beauty.
