1939 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead Chopper
We should all have second acts as good the Harley-Davidson Knucklehead, officially known as the EL. Introduced in 1936 as the company's first overhead-valve V-twin, it was also the first Harley motor with a modern recirculating oiling system. The Knuckle is one of the most famous motors of all time, in production until 1948, and even in retirement it leads an active life. Highly collectible, many are being restored to better-than-new, 100-plus point condition, but probably more often they're being transformed into show-stopping customs. The letter is the case with this clean 1939 Knucklehead, led down the road by Wide Glide forks and topped by a candy-gold Sportster gas tank with nicely dished sides.
