1974 Yamaha DT360 MX
In the early 1970s, each motorcycle manufacturer was expressing its personality by the products it sells. While 4-strokes are the realm of Honda, Kawasaki was all about power, Ducati had the handling, but if you wanted a capable two-stroke off-roader, it had to be a Yamaha. Quality two-stroke trail bikes had been the backbone of Yamaha's motorcycle sales for years, but nothing stood out at the professional level. Engine development had been rapid, but it wasn't until 1974 that the chassis was finally built to accommodate it.
This DT360MX is offered in fully restored condition. The engine was overhauled, as were all cycle parts, restored or replaced as needed. The fresh paint on the tank in original black finishes off the look of this fine period MXer.
