1971 Suzuki TS250 Savage
Frame no. TS2503-16485
Needing to take part in the booming 250cc dual-purpose market, Suzuki introduced the TS250 Savage in 1969, its styling influenced by the company's line of TM motocrossers. The 246cc two-stroke single used CCI Posi-Force, Suzuki's version of automatic fuel/oil mixing. By 1971 the bike had gained electronic ignition and a slightly longer wheelbase. The model would remain in the company catalog for another 10 years.
The 1971 TS on offer here is a simply spectacular restoration to better-than-new condition. Note the level of finish evident in the bike's polished alloy parts, the proper placement of badges, the correct cross-hatched rubber footpeg covers. Showing just 1.3 miles since its complete, spokes-up rebuild by a Suzuki expert, this TS250 is as showroom perfect as any dual-purpose bike we have seen, right down to its reflectors and warning decals. It is equipped a chromed luggage rack, a rare factory option.
