1975 Honda CB400
1975 Honda CB400
Frame no. CB400F1038359
Engine no. CB400FE1038462
While most midsize machines of the 1970s made do with two cylinders, the Honda CB400F Super Sport stuffed a quartet of pistons into its jewel-like engine, one of the most compact and prettiest designs Honda has produced. Very trim, with sculpted bodywork, overall styling is set-off by the dramatic 4-into-1 exhaust system, a work of art in itself. Introduced as a 1975 model, this factory café-racer outshined Honda's previous midrange machines, and still glows brightly today as a sporty machine of high quality. Production ceased in 1977 and 400Fs were usually ridden hard, so top-notch examples are rare indeed. This one has been fitted with an aftermarket seat.
