Bonneville for two
2002 Suzuki Hayabusa Land-Speed Sidecar
Flat-out speed for two is the theme behind this one-of-a-kind Bonneville Salt Flats land-speed sidecar powered by a Suzuki Hayabusa motor. Housed in a custom frame fabricated by owner Bob Bakker and cloaked in wind-cheating fiberglass bodywork, the turbocharged 1299cc four-cylinder rig set five national/world records, with a fastest one-way speed of 162 mph. Last run in anger in 2010, the Bakker Motorsports Hayabusa is currently in race-prepped condition, ready for another record run. This competition-only outfit is sold on a bill of sale; included in the auction is an electrical charger for the bike's lithium battery.
Estimate:
US$ 8,000 - 10,000
