Three Egyptian terracotta funerary cones
New Kingdom to Saite Period, circa 1550-525 B.C.
Each with a circular face stamped with hieroglyphs, the longest cone and another with text for the 'festival leader of Amun and Chief Steward Amenemipet', Thebes, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, circa 1550-1295 B.C., 7in (17.8cm) long and 6¼in (15.9cm) long; and the smallest, shortened, inscribed with two kneeling figures with arms raised in adoration below a barque containing a sun disc, with two columns of text the left reading 'The Osiris, the one great of dignity of the Divine Adoratrice, Mutirdis true of voice', the right 'the Osiris true King's acquaintance, his beloved, Mutirdis, true of voice', Theban tomb 410, 25th-26th Dynasty, circa 700-600 B.C. 3¼in (8.2cm) diam (3)
