Roman - Islamic Period
Including two Eastern Mediterranean 'eye' beads, a Hellenistic brown glass cylindrical bead with trail decoration, a Roman pendant moulded with a lion, a Roman gaming counter, a Roman zoomorphic bead, a Late Roman miniature vessel amulet, a large Islamic biconical bead, two Islamic cylindrical beads with trailing decoration, 12mm-32mm long (10)

    Islamic biconical bead: purchased from Amphora of Nyack, NY, in 1999.
    Islamic beads with trailing decoration: purchased from B.C. Galleries of Armadale, Australia in 2005. Acquired on the London market several years before.
    Late Roman vessel amulet: purchased from Malter Galleries, CA, in 2000. Formerly in a Californian private collection.
    Roman pendant: purchased from Windsor Antiquities of New York, San Francisco, in 1999.
    Roman gaming counter: purchased from Michael Fuertes of Patterson, CA, in 2003.
    The rest: Bonhams, 13 October 2006, lot 274. Property of a private London owner inherited from her father who used to own an antique shop in London in the mid 1970s-1980s. Some previously acquired from Christie's London, 30th October 1989.
