A Greek bronze situla
Circa 4th Century B.C.
Of tapering cylindrical form, decorated with a band of finely chased chevrons beneath the flattened rim, with two acanthus-shaped handle attachments extending from the rim, each pierced with double loops for the hooked knop terminals of the two flattened arched handles, 15½in (39.3cm) high including handles
