To include a gallon, half-gallon and quart, each with a flat-domed lid, single-curve handle with open chair-back thumbpiece, mid-fillet and incised lines to body, crown GIV mark to collar, (3)

  • It is rare to find high capacity bulbous measures with lids. These examples were probably produced in Birmingham, possibly by James Yates, (w.1837-1899). The body is of near identical form to the unlidded examples; see Lots 71, 72.
