Two 20th century silver-gilt and ivory models of medieval ladies
by L. Neresheimer & Co, Hanau from 1903
Each depicting a crowned ivory faced lady in a floor-length dress cast with flowers, one holding a sprig of flowers with a shield by her feet, the other holding an ivory finial (the other hand missing), and both raised on an octagonal plinth pierced with scrolling leaves height of each 21cm; together with two continental models of armoured knights, apparently unmarked, probably German, one holding a sword and shield, the other with an axe and shield, both with hinged face-guards lifting to reveal ivory faces, both raised on an octagonal plinth with alternating panels depicting lion heads and shields, one with applied coloured cabochons, height one 28.5cm the other 30cm.
