by Andrzej Nowakowscy, Warsaw, Poland,
one side in copper, the other side in brass, Saxons versus Vikings, kings with beards, queens wearing cloaks, bishops with axes, knights as horse, rooks as windmills or Viking longboats, pawns as foot soldiers, the Viking pawns wearing horned helmets, the chessmen stamped:Magda i Andrzej Nowakowscy Warszawa, with a wooden and copper mounted board/box,
the king 6cm high, the pawn 4.9cm high, the board/box 30cm wide.
