A Victorian silver claret jug
by Frederick Elkington, London 1878
Oval bellied form with hinge cover and fruiting bud finial, the spout formed as a mask and applied to a reeded neck, the body engraved with a crest, with loop handle and ivory insulators, raised on a raised circular foot, height 23.5cm, weight 23oz.
