Footnotes

  • Having produced the Autavia dashboard timer since 1933, applying the name to the dial of a wristwatch clearly indicated the connection to the timing of motoring and aviation events. This later model 2446 is differentiated from the earliest production models by the signing of Heuer-Leonidas on the bridge and case back. This model also features baton hands, as opposed to lance alpha hands, which can be seen on lot 6 in this sale.
