Rerum memorabilium, 2 vol. in one, engraved pictorial title, browning, a few minor marginal wormholes, bibliographical note (1673) by John Hope (1650-82) on flyleaf, and with the Hopetoun House bookplate, contemporary English calf, slightly worn, "65" stamped in blind on spine, pastedowns from proofs of STC 24928 including part of what seems to be an unrecorded label leaf, 4to, Frankfurt, G. Tampachius, [1629]-1631--ATHENAEUS. Deipnosophiston Biblia [title in Greek], text in Greek and Latin, title in red and black with attractive device of butterfly and crab, woodcut portrait, note by the inquisition "Auctor damnatus" against Isaac Casaubon, the editor, bookplate of Sir Thomas Seabright, Bart., English panelled calf, spine attractively gilt with floral sprays, "about 1690 possibly by the squirrel binder..." (pencil note by Graham Pollard), minor wear, small folio, Lyon, de Harsy, 1612 (2)
