Purchased in 1995, Goanna Men at Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay) is reputedly the artist's final painting before he took ill and was unable to continue his practice. Sunfly often departed from the traditional use of dotting and repeating parallel lines of other Balgo artists, instead painting bold, geometric designs on an undecorated ground. His minimal palette of vibrant, contrasting colours creates a dramatic impact.
