A Chinese celadon glaze shipwreck dish
Early Ming Dynasty
Covered in an even celadon glaze of sea-green tone, the sturdily potted dish carved to the interior with a central medallion of floral pattern, encircled around the lobed rim with scrolling branches below the lipped everted rim, the reverse with band fluting, an unglazed base burnt orange in the firing.
