the slate and verde antico marble case with a drum-head raised on reeded marble pillasters flanking a glazed panel showing the mercury pendulum, on a moulded plinth base, the pair of tazze garnitures of conforming shape, the enamel dial with Roman numerals and visible Brocot escapement and suspension with an eight day movement striking on the hour and half hour, 38cm wide, 15cm deep, 47cm high the garnitures 27cm high
